Frank Hewitt is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of intelliSolutions, inc. He joined the company in April 2008.

Prior to joining iSinc, Frank was the President & CEO and a founder of ComGlobal Systems, Inc. Frank led the negotiations for ComGlobal’s successful Merger and Acquisition (M&A) by Analex Corporation in April 2005.  He then continued service with Analex Corporation as a Senior Vice President through August 2006 to ensure a successful integration of the companies.

Since 2006, Frank has been actively involved in entrepreneurial programs in support of start-up companies.  He is a San Diego CONNECT Entrepreneur-In-Residence (EIR) and an investor through Tech Coast Angels (TCA) where he invests and provides guidance for early-stage ventures. 

While serving as the Executive Vice President of ComGlobal Systems, Frank’s leadership was instrumental in ComGlobal’s growth from startup in 1995 to over $40 Million in revenue for 2005.  Leading San Diego operations that specialize in high technology professional services support to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), and providing management, contracting, and “strategic” business development expertise for nearly 20 years, Frank brings his very current knowledge of the San Diego defense industry to his endeavors.  In addition to dealing with a wide range of defense contracts, both as a prime and as a subcontractor, he has significant operational experience (over 20 years) with the systems being supported within the Navy/SPAWAR business area, and has a well-versed understanding of the C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Surveillance, & Reconnaissance) business base and the Navy’s SEAPORT-e acquisition process.  While on active duty with the Navy Frank had command of two ships, including command of USS CUSHING (DD-985), a Spruance-class destroyer, in San Diego, California.  He possesses an in-depth knowledge of Over-The-Horizon Targeting (OTH-T) systems with specific emphasis on Tomahawk cruise missiles. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, he additionally received a Masters Degree in Electronic Warfare Systems Technology from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. 

Frank chairs the Joint Legislative Committee of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) San Diego Chapter and the San Diego Military Advisory Council (SDMAC).  Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors for the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) at the National level; a member of the Board of Directors and Past President of the San Diego Chapter, NDIA; and a member of the Board of Directors for The Security Network and, also, for the Naval Academy Alumni Association San Diego Chapter, Inc.  Frank was the Founding President of the San Diego Military Advisory Council (SDMAC), and he currently serves on the SDMAC Board of Directors’ Executive Committee.  Also, Frank is a life member of the U.S. Naval Institute, the Surface Navy Association, the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association, and the National Defense Industrial Association. 

 

     
 

Jamie Hewitt is President of intelliSolutions, inc.  She possesses more than seven years in a communications, public relations, public affairs, program management, and marketing capacity where she managed a number of clients and supervised a variety of teams with emphasis in multiple areas, including the defense industry.  She is a Stoorza Communications alumnus where she quickly learned, tested, and honed her program management, strategic planning, messaging and positioning, public affairs, creative, copywriting, and media relations skills.  Complimenting her work experience is the attainment of an MBA in 2005 from the University of San Diego (USD) with emphasis in Management, International Business, and Marketing.  Her BA in Communications Studies is also from USD.  In 2007, she received a professional certificate in Contract Management from San Diego State University (SDSU).  Following the completion of her certificate, she was asked to join the SDSU Advisory Board for the Contract Management Program.

Jamie has extensive program and business management experience that includes cost, budget and finance; schedule and performance management; and strategic planning.  Her recent experience in legislative, public affairs, and multimedia was her involvement in the creation of web site copy, design, and graphics (www.NoOnPropA.org); marketing materials; and logo for the “NO on Prop A” campaign against moving the San Diego airport to MCAS Miramar.  The measure was successfully defeated in November 2006 and lost in all 18 cities and in the unincorporated areas with an overwhelming 62% “no” to 38% “yes” vote.

She has won a number of public relations and public affairs industry awards for her work including several prestigious Public Relations Society of America “Edward R. Bernay Mark of Excellence” awards.  Hewitt has won three Silver Bernays in the categories of community relations program, marketing consumer products, and ongoing corporate campaign; and one Bronze Bernay in press release copywriting.

Gifford Dean Justice is Vice President, San Diego Operations, for intelliSolutions, inc. Mr. Justice leads a team of engineering and program support personnel working mainly within the San Diego area. Efforts are focused primarily on support of the Department of Defense and the Navy's engineering branch—COMSPAWARSYSCOM, as well as the PEO for C4I.

Previously, Mr. Justice was the Vice President, San Diego Operations for ComGlobal Systems.   Mr. Justice joined the ComGlobal team as a Sr. Program Manager in 2001.

Mr. Justice is a retired Navy Lieutenant Commander with over thirty years of experience as a Naval Communicator and a strong background in joint DoD communications. Mr. Justice also served in several senior staff positions within the Navy. Mr. Justice holds a BS in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.

 

 

Captain Mary Copeland, USNR (Ret.) is a Vice President of intelliSolutions, inc.  She has more than 30 years experience in program/project management, program analysis, public affairs & congressional liaison, and special projects requiring broad-based knowledge of Naval and Joint operations, policies and procedures. She has extensive knowledge of DOD, OPNAV and all major U.S. Navy commands in San Diego, especially SPAWAR and SSC San Diego.

Her SPAWAR experience includes Technical Advisor to SPAWAR’s BRAC Office, where she worked tirelessly to ensure the best outcome for SPAWAR, the Navy and DOD. Preceding her BRAC assignment, she had been recalled to active duty to be the Director of the SPAWAR Operations Center following the attacks of 9/11. Her successful leadership of the SOC led to assignment as Acting Deputy to SPAWAR’s Communications Directorate. Most recently she provided support to JPEO JTRS following its standup in San Diego.

Additionally, Captain Copeland’s experience includes more than 12 years in Washington DC, serving on several Navy headquarters staffs. Her award-winning civilian sales and marketing experience is a plus.

Captain Copeland is active in the local defense community. She is currently the NDIA Publicity Chair (2008), Chair of the NDIA Gold Coast VIP Committee (2007-2008), and serves on the NDIA Awards Committee (2006-2008). She is also a member of SDMAC and AFCEA.
